One of the most traditional Hawaiian Islands is Molokai, a door back in time where there is no traffic in cars and lots of nature itself. It is a good destination for ecotourism, sport fishing or stroll through the woods aboard a mule, discovering the secret corners of the island. Among these isolated spots Papohaku is the long beach.

This beach is also known by the name of the Three Mile Beach because it measures just that, four and a half miles of soft sand and uninterrupted course to the west end of the island. This is one of the white sand beaches of Hawaii longest, volcanic islands and thus with many black sand beaches, so you have plenty of room to relax and have fun. Here you will find camping, indoor and outdoor showers, picnic areas and rest and restrooms. From the coast you have a splendid view of Oahu, one of the islands, and the channel Kaiwi, from Diamond Head, a beautiful rock, is Waikiki, the island whose beaches are Papohaku arenas were built for so many years.

Every third week of May, the beach hosts the largest cultural festival of Hawaii, Molokai Ka Hula Piko. It is said that the hula was born here and this event is to celebrate what makes this legacy. During the winter months is better to withdraw from the bank and pay attention to the signs because the tides become dangerous.
